Adolfo Carrillo Venegas, Sr.

Adolfo Carrillo Venegas, Sr. was born on September 28, 1949 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Maria (Carrillo) Venegas.  He passed away in Oklahoma City, OK with family by his side on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the age of 75.  

Adolfo developed many skills for working at a young age.  In his late 20's, he came to the United States and began doing insulation work, which he did for many years.  He then began working for Danny Wright Pipeline as a pipeline layer and worked for several years before retiring due to an injury in 2002.  Following retirement, Adolfo focused on his love for woodworking and carpentry, creating beautiful cabinets and a variety of other creations.  His generosity was immeasurable along with his love for his family.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his children, Adolfo Venegas, Jr. and wife Erika of Oklahoma City, OK, Francisco Venegas of Enid, OK and Virjinia Venegas of Geary, OK; grandchildren, James, Charlie and Marcus; brothers, Manuel Venegas and Benigno Venegas; sister, Maria V. Gonzalez; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maria Venegas; grandson, Adolfo Venegas; and the love of his life, Shirley Venegas.

Service:  10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, First Baptist Church, Geary, OK

Burial: Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, OK

Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Geary.
