Ted Schenk Obituary

Ted M. Schenk was born on September 18, 1941 in Watonga, OK to Theodore R. and Maurine (Grogan) Schenk. He passed away on August 25, 2019 in El Reno, OK at the age of 77. Ted graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1959 and was the last graduating class from Hitchcock. He graduated from OSU in Stillwater with an Accounting degree. He served in the US Army National Guard during the Vietnam War.  Ted moved back to Hitchcock where he farmed for many years. Ted was a very modest, conservative man, that was very witty. While in school, he was active in the FFA, raising and showing pigs, and received his junior master’s farmers certificate. For a man who never had children, he grew to love Carolyn Sue’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hitchcock. He was a very political staunch Republican. He was one of the kindest, most generous men; he gifted Colorado peaches to his family and friends, was a member of the Friends of Roman Nose State Park, secretary of the Blaine County FFA & Livestock Shows for over 30 years, donated a trophy for Best of Show at the Blaine County Livestock Shows. He was a big supporter of St. Jude’s, the Kidney Foundation, American Cancer Society, the Glaucoma Research Foundation, and Catholic Charities.

Survivors Include: his best friend and companion of 30 years, Carolyn Sue of Watonga, OK, her children, Jerriee Michalicka and husband Mike of Union City, OK, Arthur Wear and wife Jan of Watonga, OK, Wayne Forston and wife Lori of Guthrie, OK, Audrey and Ashley Alloway of Arlington, TX, Michael Pierot and wife Tonya of Ft.
