Nettie M. Gillingham was born on May 8, 1931 in El Dorado Springs, MO to Everett and Rose Opal (Kirkley) Worthington. She passed away on January 11, 2020 in Weatherford, OK at the age of 88. She married Walter C. Gillingham on March 19, 1976 in Pima County, AZ. Nettie was a devoted member of the Living Church of God; she enjoyed church and enjoyed traveling with the church. Some of her favorite trips were to Alaska, Thailand, and to the Holy Land. She also enjoyed visiting Eureka Springs, AR as often as she could. Nettie had a lifelong love of animals; she raised birds, doves in particular, and guineas. She loved dogs and had an ancient turtle for most of her life. She was a thrifty homemaker, hardworking, preserved a lot of what she and Walter farmed.
Survivors Include: her daughter, Rita Johnson of Coos Bay, OR, her granddaughters, Sophia and Jennifer, her brothers, Charles Worthington and wife Betty, Larry Worthington and wife Yvonne, and Wayne Worthington and wife, Wanda all of Eldorado Springs, MO, sister in law, Wilma and husband, Duane Fullerton of Carnegie, OK, sister-in-law, Martha Gillingham of Weatherford, OK, niece and nephew, David and Kelly Gillingham, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gillingham, her first husband, Jerry McCoy, her brothers, Harold and Lee Worthington, and her sisters, Audrey Hilden, and Lucy Nelson.
