Marcella Cowan Obituary

Marcella Cowan was born May 26, 1959 in Thomas, OK to Otto F. Nicolai, Jr. and Carol (Carman) Nicolai.  She passed away Thursday August 1, 2019 in Watonga, OK at the age of 60.  Marcella grew up in Geary, OK and attended school there.  She graduated from Geary High School in the Class of 1977.  She attended Bethany Nazarene College where she sang in the Gospel Group.  Marcella married Craig Cowan on October 12, 1979 at Etna Wesleyan Church near Geary, OK.  The couple made their home in the Fay area since then.  Marcella was Craig’s right hand girl on the farm.  She loved cooking and baking pies.  She loved flowers and working in her flowerbeds.  She loved to travel and take photographs of landscapes and flowers on their adventures.  She loved taking trips and get togethers with their life long friends.  Her favorite hobby was her family. She was a devoted mother to her 3 children and grandmother to her 7 grandchildren.  She loved the time that she spent with them; especially a good ole fashioned weenie roast down by the creek.  She had a very strong faith.  She was a long-time member of the Etna Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School and served as pianist over the years.
