Lois Helen Stoneroad-Wilson was born on February 24, 1949 to Rev. John L. And Maude C. (Littlecrow) Stoneroad in Pawnee, OK. She passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019, in Edmond, OK, at the age of 70. Lois graduated from Laney College in Oakland, California with her BA in nursing. She worked as an RN and provided home health care until she retired. She was a community activist and helped start many programs for less fortunate individuals and the Hispanic community. She was a member of Life Church Tabernacle in Oakland, CA. Her biggest achievement was raising her 7 children, 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and helping raise many other children. Lois leaves behind a legacy of remaining close as a family.
She is survived by her 7 children: Gina and her husband Christopher Baptist Sr of Oakland, CA, Tamala Wilson of Oklahoma City, James Dave Wilson Jr. and wife Karen of Edmond, OK, Jamie Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donavan Wilson of Edmond, OK, Jamel Wilson and Burton Morris of Edmond, OK, and Charles Wilson Sr and wife Roschelle of Edmond, OK; Sisters: Marie Kent and Mary Safadi of Oklahoma City and one brother James Charles Stoneroad Sr. of Stockton, California, 25 Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John L. and Maude C. Stoneroad, her siblings: John Stoneroad III, Truett Stoneroad, Oresa Jay Stoneroad, Wilma Meeks, Patricia Starr and William Stoneroad.
Services: Thursday, November 21, 2019, Noon, at Concho Community Hall, Concho, OK.
Officiating: Rev. Edgar B. Kent, Jr., Rev. George E. Howell, and Mr. Donavan Birdshead
