LoRita Belle Wilson was born December 30, 1931 to Floyd “Doc” and Pearl “Dutch” (Gripe) Herndon in Hydro, OK. She passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Brookdale Village in Weatherford, OK at the age of 87. LoRita graduated from Medford High School. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Joe Wilson July 22, 1950 in Wichita Falls, TX. They lived a short time in Medford. They lived in Colorado Springs and Divide Colorado before moving back to Hydro in 2001. While in Colorado, she worked for the public-school system. She enjoyed oil painting, any kind of card games, sewing, and gardening. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Hydro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Dutch Herndon, husband Bill Wilson, and one brother, Bob Herndon.
LoRita is survived by her four children, Randy Wilson and his wife Pat of Crosby, TX, Jerie Back and her husband Larry of Conchas Dam, NM, Kent Wilson and his companion Suzanne of Sleepy Hollow, IL, and Troy Wilson of Ann Arbor, MI; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Darrell Herndon and his wife Susan of Enid, OK; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
