Kimberly Lynn Gabehart was born on June 2, 1971 in Hobart, OK to John Wesley and Susan (Laughlin) Price. She passed away on September 12, 2019 at her home at the age of 48 after an 8 year battle with cancer.
Kim grew up in Weatherford, OK and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1989. At the age of 15 she started working at United Supermarket and advanced into management. There she met the love of her life, Steve Gabehart. They married on July 24, 1996 in Hinton, OK. They were blessed with a beautiful son, Owen James, on May 8, 2004. She began working for Stephen Beam in 2000 and had a passion for her work where she was still employed until her death. She had an incredible work ethic and was also a partner with her brother, Craig, at the Lug A Jug Liquor Store.
Kimberly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures. These pleasures included camping at the lake with family, ATV riding, skiing, traveling, and most of all online shopping. She was known to march to the beat of her own drum.
Those dearly missing her are her husband, Steve Gabehart; and son, Owen Gabehart of the home. Also her father, John Price; mother, Susan Price; and her brother Craig Price all of Weatherford, OK. Nieces and nephews that loved her sense of humor and outgoing personality are Erin Price, Elli Jo Price Batie and husband Ty, Ethan Price, and Ean Price of Leedey, OK. Also her aunt Paula Zimmerman and daughters Lindsey Zimmerman and Jenna Schmidt all of Mountain View, OK; and Linda Fletcher and husband Don of Hester, OK.
Kim was blessed with wonderful in laws that included mother in law, Paula Gabehart; brother in law, Greg Gabehart and wife Luci and their children Jonathon, Thomas, and Mary Kate all of Big Spring, TX.
Those welcoming Kim into heaven are her father in law, James Gabehart; her grandparents, Joe and Wanda Laughlin, and Wesley and Wanda Price.
Services will be at the First United Methodist Church in Weatherford, OK, on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Hinton Cemetery.
Kim’s family would like to express their gratitude to Stephen Beam for his patience, understanding, and generosity during these last 8 years. Also a special thank you to the Stephenson Cancer Center and Faith Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness. In lieu if flowers, please make donations in Kim’s memory to the Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City.
