John Willis Ball was born on April 5, 1946 to Thomas and Fern (Priebnow) Ball in Colorado Springs, CO. He passed away on January 29, 2019 in Hinton, OK at the age of 72. He moved as a young child with his family to Parsons, KS where he attended Parsons Public Schools. He went to work for Job Corps for some years before returning to Parsons. Upon his return he met Beverly Parker. The couple was married on September 14, 1968. The couple relocated to Cordell, OK in 1985. He bought Starvin Marvin's Pizza in Cordell in 2000. John opened a second location in Hinton, OK in 2004. He managed both stores until his retirement due to his failing health in 2014. John loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a member of The First Christian Church in Parsons, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ball and Fern Ball and 5 siblings, Lois (Ball) Gale, Eldon Cooney, Vincent Cooney (age 11years old), Marlene Cooney 3 months old, and Nita (Cooney) Rogers.
Survivors Include: his wife Beverly of the home in Hinton, OK, daughter, Debbie Woodring of Hinton, OK, 2 grandsons, Kaleb Woodring of Colorado Springs, CO and Merritt Woodring of Hinton, OK, 3 sisters, Loretta (Cooney) Ball of Parsons, KS, Elaine (Ball) Myers of Parsons, KS, Sharon (Ball) Lewis of Altamont, KS as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
