Joe Charles McSparrin

Joe C. McSparrin was born on April 2, 1946 in Hinton, OK to Gerald and Cora (Hageman) McSparrin. He passed away on February 19, 2019 in OKC,OK at the age of 72. He graduated from Star High School. He served in the US Air Force, serving in Germany, where he worked as a chef. He married Glenda Flansburg on November 24, 1973 in Eakly, OK. They lived in MWC and Choctaw where he worked as a fireman. They moved to Hydro, OK in 1989, to Hinton in 1991, and to Eakly in 1996. Joe enjoyed wood working, gardening, and fishing. He loved sports, Thunder basketball, and most of all, he loved spending time with his grandsons. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Hydro, OK.

 Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Cora McSparrin, his wife, Glenda McSparrin, his siblings, Michael McSparrin, Gerald L. McSparrin, Bud McSparrin, and Connie Jacobs.

Survivors Include: his children, Terry McSparrin and wife Kim of Owasso, OK, and Casey McSparrin and wife Jennifer of Yukon, OK, his grandchildren, Cooper and Carson McSparrin of Yukon, OK, and Cason and Cash McSparrin of Owasso, OK, his sisters, Judy Woodard and husband A.R. of MWC, OK, and Janet DeSpain and husband Marvin of Verdigris, OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.
