Jason Clyde Howry

Jason Clyde Howry was born on July 29, 1972 in Watonga, OK to J.C. Howry and Barbara (Martin) Weber. He passed away on January 3, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 46. Jason grew up in Watonga and graduated from Watonga High School. He was a maintenance engineer. He had a love for fast things also. He frequently rode his bike around Lake Hefner. He was an avid OU fan, loved fishing, especially fly-fishing in Colorado, had a passion for all kinds of music, and loved movies. Jason liked to have his friends over to share his love of BBQ and cooking; his beef jerky was the very best. He loved to spend time with his children, taking them out to eat and to movies, and playing guitar hero. He also spent a lot of time with his constant faithful companion Buddy, who was more than a pet, he was a lifelong friend. Jason and his brother, Johnny, had recently saved their grandmother Eva's life by performing the Heimlich maneuver. When Jason and Travis were teenagers they had saved the life of Owen Taylor from drowning in a pond north of Watonga. Jason was a non-denominational Christian and he had attended Mosaic Church in OKC, OK. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Survivors Include: his daughters, Kassidy Howry of Edmond, OK, and Emma Howry of OKC,OK, his son, Jacob of Kingfisher, OK, his mother, Barbara Martin Weber of Longdale, OK, his father, J.C. Howry and wife Pat of Watonga, OK, his brothers, Harry Meister and wife Dana of OKC,OK, Brian Meister of Mustang, OK, Johnny Howry of Duke, OK, and Travis Houska and his wife Cheyenne of Duke, OK, and his grandmother, Eva Howry of Watonga, OK, Amy Hernandez, Emma's mother of OKC,OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Houska of Watonga, OK, his grandpa, Herschel Howry of Watonga, OK, and grandparents, Laverne and Hazel Kephart Martin of Canton, OK.
