Dale Scott

Dale Scott was born October 16, 1938 in Binger, OK, to Stanley Leonard and Vurel  Hiser Scott. He passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 80.  He graduated from Lookeba High School in 1956 and attended college at Southwestern in Weatherford, OU in Norman, OK, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.  He married Margie Renfro on May 18, 1963 in Cogar, and they moved to Hinton, OK.  He owned and operated Adams Variety Dry Goods here in Hinton for 58 years. Dale loved working in his yard, gardening and most of all, his grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Vurel Scott, his brother, Jimmie Scott and one great-grandchild, Isaac Sebastian Britcher.

He is survived by his wife Margie Scott of Hinton, OK, children; Julie Beck and her husband Kevin of Greenwood, Arkansas, Jon Scott and his wife Becky of Lookeba, OK; grandchildren: Ethan and Hannah Beck of Springdale, Arkansas, Katie Beck of Tulsa, OK, Mollie Beck of Hackett, Arkansas, Emilie Beck of Greenwood, Arkansas, Trey, Kylie and Madison Scott of Lookeba, OK; great-grandchild; Evelyn Beck of Springdale, Arkansas, and one sister; Maryann Holt and her husband Jim of Midwest City, OK.

Family has requested memorial donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 222 West Market, Hinton, OK, 73047.

Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, 222 West Market, Hinton, OK, 73047

Officiating: Rev. Gary Haynes and Pastor Kevin Beck
