Christopher Lynn Deevers was born December 9, 1983 to Gregory Lynn and Kathy Ann (Helm) Deevers in Oklahoma City, OK. He passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home in Geary, OK at the age of 35. Chris graduated from Tulsa Union High School in 2002. He entered the service with the U.S. Army April 21, 2003 and was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom November 15, 2003. He returned from O.I.F to Ft. Lewis, WA and was deployed to Korea on March 14, 2005 and later returned to Oklahoma in 2006. Chris attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX and joined the National Guard. He reported October 4, 2009 to Ft. Bliss, TX for his 2nd tour to Iraq. He arrived in Ft. Sill and was assigned to Wounded Warrior Project/Warrior Transition Unit and returned to Nacogdoches, Tx to exit his service in the U.S. Army. Chris loved his time serving his Country. He attended Drilling Fluids Specialist School at Redlands Community College in El Reno, and later worked in the oil and gas industry as a Mud Engineer. Chris had been in Geary since 2015 working on the family farm. He enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, collecting gem stones, and collecting guns. He loved his family and always enjoyed giving his niece and nephews $2 bills or silver dollars. He was a member of the El Reno VFW and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jared Deevers and his grandparents.
Chris is survived by his parents, Greg and Kathy Deevers and his sister, Kaylie Deevers all of Broken Arrow, OK; sister-in-law, Paula Deevers of Kingman, AZ; niece and nephews, Madelyn and Jack Deevers, and Braden, Anthony, and Tatum Deevers; and many aunts uncles other relatives and many friends.
