She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Leona Stevens, husband Dwain Booze, son, Creig Booze, and two brothers, Billy and Roger Stevens.

Carolyn graduated from Aline High School where she played basketball, tennis and the violin in the orchestra.  In her Junior year of high school Carolyn was selected to go to  Girls’ State where she played on the girls’ doubles tennis team.  Carolyn met her future husband, Dwain, while attending the Church of Christ in Carmen, Oklahoma.  They were both baptized in October, 1949 and began dating after that. They were married on December 24, 1950 and five children were born of this union.  Their life together took them to several towns in Oklahoma including Enid, Duncan, Anadarko and settling in Hinton in 1968.  In 1969 they bought a home in Hinton where they resided for 50 years.  Carolyn was a homemaker until her kids were older and she began working outside the home.  Upon her retirement in 1995, she began playing golf.  She was a member of the Weatherford Ladies Golf Association and was President from 1995 – 1997.  She later joined the Sugar Creek Ladies Golf Association in Hinton and was the Secretary and Treasurer from 2000 – 2007.  She was a big OU fan as well. She enjoyed traveling all over the state of Oklahoma playing in golf tournaments with her golfing friends.  Carolyn was an avid Thunder fan and watched every game.  She had a vegetable garden and enjoyed canning the vegetables that she grew.  She also had a flower garden that included roses. Carolyn enjoyed family gatherings and would play board and card games with her kids and grandkids until the wee hours of the morning.  She had a great sense of humor and would sometimes laugh so hard that tears would stream down her face.  She was a Christian who lived a faithful, Godly life.  She was a genuine, kind and loving person and will be missed forever.
