Gene Edward Mashaney

Gene Edward Mashaney was born June 24, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Cecil Mashaney and Margaret Mashaney Williams. On Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the age of 63, he was called home by our Heavenly Father, while surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

After graduating from Hinton High School in 1979, he married Cathy Lynn Evans on July 7, 1982, in Hinton, OK. They were married 41 years and were blessed with three wonderful girls.

Gene’s greatest joys included fishing, bird watching, and cherishing moments with his family, especially his grandchildren, who meant everything to him.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Mashaney of the home; his three daughters Trista Barnes and husband Jacob of Lookeba, OK, Chelsy Camacho and husband Miguel of Melbourne, FL, and Tinde Mashaney of Lookeba, OK; his eight grandchildren: Tadan, Audrey, Janaya, Jerik, Joel, Lillyan, Emylia, and Madilyn; his mother Margaret Mashaney Williams of Bridgeport, OK and his two brothers Steve Mashaney and wife Donna of Bridgeport, OK and Erick Mashaney and wife Lesia of Weatherford, OK, among other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Mashaney, maternal grandparents Gene and Margaret Heckard, and paternal grandparents John and Ally Mashaney.

A celebration of life will be held among family and friends.
